Over 6 years ago, Casa Cielo received their first children. They were severely malnourished with parasites, worms, and lice. Many had been neglected and abused.

Casa Cielo is located in the beachfront community of Roma, about 20 minutes east of La Cieba, Honduras.  Its home to Leonard (Papa) and Marie (Mama) Jones and the twenty four children that they have brought into their home.

Basic Trip Schedule
Sat: Arrive in Honduras; drive to Casa Cielo
Sun: Church service with the children of Casa Cielo
Mon - Thur: Build an Aquaponic Feeding System, Conduct a daily VBS, Assist with other work tasks around the grounds
Fri: A day at the local market and beach
Sat: Return to the USA

Connect Global has partnered with New Life Baptist Church of Tampa, to build a LOCAL fish pond.

On Saturday Dec 17th the Connect Global Team went to the church and built a 600 gallon Aquaponic Feeding System. This is going to be an exciting way to connect with a local neighborhood and make a difference in how families are fed in the Tampa Bay Area. New Life Church already feeds between 80 and 100 individuals every Tuesday and this will soon serve as a huge suppliment to those meals provided.

Along with pastors Bobby Patton, and Sean Scott of New Life Baptist Church, Several members of Morning Star Church, and Celebration Church a double sized aquaponic feeding system was installed at the church which will help supply and feed the community.

We will be installing 5 more family sized aquaponic fish ponds, and providing impactful Community Outreach to the town of Cusuna in Honduras. Cusuna Honduras is some 8 hours from the airport in San Pedro Sula, nestled in the heavily wooded hills of the north coast and home to approximately 5000 Garifuna residents. 

With only 2% of the 143,000 Garifuna in Honduras professing to be Evangelical Christians, Cusuna is a village in need of the Gospel.

Basic Trip Schedule
Thurs/Fri: Arrive in Honduras (Arrival day depends on your origin city in the USA)
Fri: Drive to Tocoa, Honduras
Sat: Arrive in Cusuna and begin construction of the first Aquaponic Feeding System
Sun - Tues: Construct Feeding Systems, Resolve issues with older systems, Conduct Aquaponic Training Class, Minister through preaching in a Garifuna church service
Wed: Travel to El Triunfo de La Cruz to relax on the beach
Thur: Return to the USA

• Share the Gospel through one-on-one evangelism and preaching
